DIGITAL SURVICES IN PRIMARY CARE - PATIENT SURVEY

You may have heard in the news over recent months of the increasing burden General Practice across the country is under. Greater complexity of patient needs, real term funding cuts and recruitment difficulties have meant that patients are having to wait longer to see their GP.

NHS Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group are exploring whether we can use technology to improve patient access to GP practices whilst at the same time reducing the demands on practices.  Not all of these methods may be currently available, but it will help us to decide where we should concentrate our developments.

We would be grateful if you would spend a couple of minutes answering these questions.  This survey is being conducted anonymously any data collected will only be used for the purpose of this research.

Young Peoples Page and C Card

YOUNG PEOPLES PAGE

12 TO 18'S

This page is especially for young people aged between 12 and 18.

We hope this page helps you to understand how to access advice and healthcare about anything you may be worried about.

How do I get help or advice?

  • Make an appointment to see one of the Doctors or Nurses - you can bring a friend, or a parent / guardian, or you can come on your own.

Is the service confidential?

Even if you are under 16 you still have the same rights to confidentiality as anyone else.

Our Doctors and Nurses have to follow very strict rules on confidentiality and the law says we have to keep all patient records and information completely private.

In exceptional circumstances, for example when a doctor or nurse thinks you might be in serious danger, it might be necessary to pass information on but, even if we do, we will usually talk to you first before we tell anyone else.  This applies to everyone, no matter what age you are.
